即將寫下人生新一頁的你，準備好了嗎？作為新生難免要經歷迷惘的時期。但切記不要讓迷惘阻礙你們的步伐，作為一名工程系學生，必須具備迎難而上的精神。工學院學生會(ESU)作為服務工程系學生的團體，願意擔當迷霧中的燈塔，協助各位新生渡過艱難如斯的時期。與其整日埋首於沉重的學業壓力，不如抽些許時間參加我們為大家準備的活動，擴寬視野和建立社交圈子，更重要的是能夠重拾歡樂! 學懂獨立並不代表要孤立自己；相反，擴寬社交圈子乃是踏入社會甚至人生中的重要一環。我們舉辦的迎新營(O-Camp)正是你們結識良朋益友的絕佳場所，三日兩夜的營期，放開自己並與組爸媽以及其他新生變得熟稔吧!

For all freshmen that just joined HKUST, ESU is now presenting you our O-Camp. A Camp that allows you to know the other freshmen. They are your friends, best friends, our futhure classmate, project partner. As an organisation serving for Engineering Studnet, ESU acts as a bridge to connect all people. Don't hesitate, come and join it.

A visit to North East New Territories Landfill on 23^rd April, 2016. The visit was co-organised by ESU and HKIESC-HKUST. 24 participants joined the visit and surly had a woderfully experience and gained knowledge on how the landfill operate to optimize efficiency to deal with various kind of garbages.

A recruitment of O-Camp Joba Joma (組爸組媽). For the recruitment, a special counter was set on Atrium (Area C) with a big decoration which was DeadPooooooL~~~
Many of you should have heard of DeadPool, he is one of the character in "X-men", which is the theme of the O-Camp.

The White Valentine’s Day was held on 14^th-16^th March, 2016, to establish a caring image of ESU and to enhance good relationship between students of the Engineering School and the Union. A special counter was set on LG5 for members to take photos and members drawn Omikuji and Omamori as souvenis. Some ExCOs delievered roses randomly on Academic Concourse outside LT-B. Wish all students in HKUST could have a nice White Valentine’s Day.

The 22^nd inauguration Ceremony signifies the start of the 22^nd Executive Committee of ESU. It was held sucessfully on 25^th Feburary, 2016. Ir. Chan Chi Chiu (President of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers), Prof. Tongxi Yu (Former Acting Dean of School of Engineering), Ms. Natalie Lam(The President of ESU,HKUSTSU, Session 2015-2016), together with professional engineers, guests and society representatives from HKUST and other universities have been witnessing our ceremony and gave us a lot of support.
